Intro to Portrait Painting

Discover the fundamentals of portrait painting in this welcoming class designed for beginners and intermediate artists alike. Students will learn how to capture facial proportions, features, light and shadow, skin tones, and expression while creating a painted portrait step-by-step. Through demonstrations and guided instruction, you’ll gain confidence in drawing and painting faces while developing your own artistic style. No prior portrait experience is necessary.

I will be teaching this class on Thursday, June 18th, from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. The cost is $10 and includes all materials and supplies.

Free parking is available in the parking lot on the west side of the building (ignore the Permit Required sign). Petrichor Collective is down the stairs in the basement. You can also park on the front, east side of the building and walk around to the stairs on the west side leading to the basement.
